Instrument Rating Privileges

When operating as an instrument pilot, you as the pilot gain the following privileges:

Privileges

As the name suggests, the instrument rating will allow you to fly “by instruments”, without any visual reference to ground, horizon, or other landmarks. You will be able to fly in conditions with restricted visibility, like in clouds or fog. This can be especially useful when flying long distances because bad visibility conditions are no longer a factor.
